Queen of Courts Celebration Begins with Spirit Week |

Spirit Week begins Monday and kicks off activities leading up to Queen of Courts on Friday, Feb. 10. The spirit schedule is Monday - Pajama Day, Tuesday - Nerd Day, Wednesday - Twin Day, Thursday - Hat Day, Friday - Green and Gold Day. There will be a pep rally at 2:45 p.m. on Friday in the high school gym. The public is invited.
Pre-game Meal - Post Prom organizers will serve BBQ beef sandwiches, coleslaw and homemade cinnamon rolls that evening as a fundraiser. Serving begins at 5 p.m. in the high school commons. Free-will donations benefit after-prom activities for the students. Don't miss the JH Alumni table where they will be selling tickets for the upcoming Texas Hold 'Em poker fundraiser (April 21 in Netawaka) to support the 2012 Alumni Banquet, dance and scholarship. There will be a limit of 100 players. See full details under District tab on the menu bar, and select Alumni Association.
Basketball action against McLouth starts at 5 p.m. with junior varsity games. JV boys play in the elementary gym and JV girls will play a shortened game in the high school. The crowning ceremony will occur during halftime of the boys' varsity game. Candidates for King and Queen of Courts are seniors Taelor DeLany, Michaela Griffiths, Tristyne Wamego, Michaela Wingender, Erik Bell, Corbin Pfrang, Logan Teter and Al Wilcox. After the last game, there will be a dance for high school students ending at midnight. Admission to the dance is $2 single and $3 couple. | |
