Remember when Sheldon built a "Virtual Sheldon" on the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory?  Students and staff at Jackson Heights built their own version and call it the Virtual Reality (VR) Student.  The VR Student attended his first class on March 27, 2019.  While at home in Netawaka, Alex Edwards drove the VR student to Mr Alley's World History class and "sat" in his usual spot. Alex has missed many days of school this year due to health problems. The VR Student is a way for him to attend class when he can't be at school. The VR student was built and designed by students and staff at Jackson Heights using spare parts and about $50 worth of new material.

Kelly Sabari at KSNT Channel 27 covered the story on April 2, 2019.  Below is the link to her story.
