Moments ago Governor Kelly announced state school closure until the last Friday in May.  This is school closure as we know our current educational system.  It does not mean the school year is over.  Commissioner Watson has assembled a task force of educators to give school districts guidance on how to establish a "continuous learning" plan. School districts have been given 3 options for delivery of educational services for the duration of the 2019-20 school year:  Face to face in small groups that meet size KDHE and CDC restrictions, online learning or paper packets.  Our administration team and educators have already started working on this throughout the week in an effort to continue to serve our students. USD 335 teachers and paras will be learning about what "continuous learning" is and preparing to meet the needs of our students in this new system March 23-27.  Therefore, school will be closed March 23-27.  Next week, the USD 335 continuous learning plan will be shared with all Cobra families.  On Monday, March 30, the Cobra continuous learning system will begin.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions at adrianne.walsh@jhcobras.net or 785-364-2194.
