A new scholarship from the Jackson County Clerk office is now being offered to a high school senior majoring in Journalism, Political Science or Communications.  $500 scholarships based on available funds will be awarded. The deadline is April 2, 2010.

The 2010 Middle School Knowledge Bowl season of competition is fast approaching! The students have been practicing since October. The students who represent the 7th grade are Aidan Allen, Caleb Baker, Kaitlynn Little, Emily Bowhay, Kay Andrews, Jessica Keehn, Kyndra Wingender and Lane Slocum. Supporters of Jackson Heights can be a part of the new Jackson Heights Educational Foundation Giving Club with tax deductible donations of $1 and up. There are different levels depending on the donation amount and gifts can be given in memory of someone and the donor can specify what projects the money will help.
