Summer workouts will begin on Tuesday, June 1, from 6:30-9:30 am. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, one can come in anytime to lift. A typical workout can be done in 40-45 minutes if one is working hard. On Tuesdays, we will do a speed, plyometric, core, and flexibility workout beginning at 7:00 a.m. It will last about one hour. Coach Ramsey highly recommends this workout to all athletes. 7-12 athletes are all welcome to come in and workout. Athletes will be pushed to get better. It's not social time but time to get to work! Workouts will continue through August. |

Supporters of Jackson Heights can be a part of the new Jackson Heights Educational Foundation Giving Club with tax deductible donations of $1 and up. There are different levels depending on the donation amount and gifts can be given in memory of someone and the donor can specify what projects the money will help. The third grade students recently completed a unit of study on Communities. Each child recorded some information about one of the five communities they live in on a VOICEThread. VOICEThread is a Web 2.0 tool that allows students to upload a photo and record their voice as a comment. These have been posted on the 3rd grade blogs.
