The basketball games against JCN that were scheduled for tonight (2/5) have been postponed. A make up game will take place on Monday, Feb. 22, at 6:00 pm with varsity games only. There will be no activities this evening so all students are expected to go home after school. |

The lady cobras beat the Doniphan West Mustangs on Tuesday, Feb. 2, by a score of 49-37! Leading scoreres were Morgan Thomas with 23, Janae Morris with 9, Stacie Martin with 8, and Carrie Lierz with 7. Stacie Martin and Kelsey Harris shot 100% at the free throw line and Morgan Thomas had 3 3 pointers! Way to go, cobras! |

The Jackson Heights men’s basketball team had a good night winning 68-49 over Doniphan West High School on Tuesday, Feb. 2. Scoring for the cobras goes as follows: David Martin 35, Chris Schmitz 13, Jeremy Holliday 9, Jaimon Richter 5, Austen Thomas 4, and Bruce Mellies with 2. Leading rebounders for the Cobras were Jeremy Holliday with 8, Chris Schmitz with 7, and David Martin with 6. Leading the way with assists was Jeremy Holliday with 9. Chris Schmitz also had 6 block shots. The cobras improve their record to 9-3 overall and 3-0 in the DVL. Keep it up, cobras! |

Cobras to Participate in Washburn's Art Day |

The Advanced Art class and other selected art students will be attending Washburn University's Annual High School Art Day. It will be held at the campus art building on Friday, Feb. 5. There will be many different kinds of workshops for the students to participate in, such as Ceramics, Photography, Digital Arts, Sculpture, Bookmaking, Painting and more. People who will be there include nationally renowned artists who will answer questions and provide inspiration. The students will also be able to display their art work, compete in a juried exhibition and receive recognition. Good luck, cobra artists! |
