School Accident Insurance Update PDF Print E-mail

For many years, USD 335 has carried optional supplemental student accident insurance.  Due to premiums doubling in cost for the 2016-17 school year, the USD 335 Board of Education decided to discontinue this coverage, which is not required for districts to provide.  USD 335 will continue to carry catastrophic insurance for student injuries over $25,000, which covers students in any KSHSAA activity.  Families will have the option to purchase student accident insurance through K&K Insurance at enrollment or you can enroll by following the instructions online here.  Premiums can be found online here.  The policy would be a secondary insurance policy in addition to your primary health insurance policy if you feel it is needed for your children.  Please feel free to contact the district office at 364-2194 with insurance questions.
