Jackson Heights, Sept 21, 2023- The Jackson Heights Cobras E-Sports team made history this week as they embarked on their very first competitive matches in the world of online gaming. Guided by the capable leadership of Travis Henry, Brad Alley, and Caleb Wick, the Cobras demonstrated their prowess, emerging victorious in both contests.

Monday's match witnessed a thrilling game of chess, where Talon Binkley showcased his strategic brilliance, clinching a win for the Cobras. This initial triumph set the stage for what would prove to be an exciting week for the budding e-sports team.

In their second match, the Cobras went head-to-head against a formidable team from Texas in the popular online game Overwatch. The team, comprising Sean Wilder, Talon Binkley, Kryndon Proffitt, Felicity Kirk, and James Bottom, exhibited outstanding teamwork, coordination, and skill. Their relentless efforts culminated in a well-deserved victory, securing the Cobras' second win of the week.

E-sports is a brand new addition to Jackson Heights, but it has already captured the hearts and enthusiasm of the students.
