Jackson Heights High School and Middle School launched its seventh near-space weather balloon on Monday, April 8, during the partial eclipse. The balloon went up 70,000 feet before it burst, and then returned to Earth on a parachute to land north of Cameron, Missouri. Students will be analyzing the data from the flight in the coming days.
