Jackson Heights proudly recognizes remarkable students Noa Rice and Talon Binkley as April’s Seniors of the Month.
Noa Rice has participated in the school play, Scholars Bowl, Band, and Pep Band. Outside of school, Noa likes to read, write, draw, ride her bike, and play video games. Reflecting on her memories throughout the years of high school, one of Noa’s favorites was having a role in the play. Noa states, “As difficult as it was, I really enjoyed getting out there and giving everyone a good show.”
Noa had the following advice to offer underclassmen: “It’s okay to not know what you’re going to do after high school; not everyone has it figured out by then.”
As Noa continues her final moments in high school, she is still discovering what her plans are post-secondary.
Talon Binkley has been involved in the play, football, basketball, digital media, scholars bowl, track and field, FCCLA, Esports, Archery, and forensics. His favorite high school memory was going to Highland for an Esports competition. Talon’s favorite hobby outside of school is to hang out with his brothers.
Talon offered this advice to underclassmen: “Listen to your teachers, take notes, and pay attention. You will be successful.” He also stated “Everything they say about high school is true. It goes by fast and you won’t see it until it is there.”
After graduating, Talon Binkley is planning on attending college.
Congratulations to Noa Rice and Talon Binkley for being selected as April seniors of the month. As we come to the end of the school year we thank you for your dedication to extracurricular activities and the example you set for your peers.
