Jackson Heights has named Chesnea Cochren and Cooper Hewitt Seniors of the Month for March.
Throughout Cochren's time in high school, she has been involved in volleyball, basketball, track, softball, FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, JCYC, NHS, STUCO, Pep Club, Honor Flight, Honor Roll, and Cobra Mentors. When asked to select a favorite memory throughout high school, Cochren recalled playing the watermelon game everyday after English class during sophomore year. After graduation, Cochren plans on attending Kansas State University to major in animal science and plans to later obtain a degree in veterinary medicine.
During Hewitt's time in high school, he has participated in football, baseball, basketball, High School Rodeo, FFA, and youth group. When asked about what he was looking forward to after graduation, "going to college rodeo" was Hewitt’s biggest goal. Hewitt said that the most meaningful friendships/connections he had in his time at JHHS were with teammates that he had throughout the years. After graduating, Hewitt plans on attending Fort Scott.
