Yesterday, Taylor Wamego broke the JHHS record in Shot Put with a throw of 51'10". The previous record was 49'11" by Steve Pittenger 49'11" in 1972. Kanyon Olberding also broke the JHHS record in triple jump at 35'2.25". The previous record was 34'7" by Olivia Childs in 1998.

The JH seismometer picked up the earthquakes in New Zealand today. The condensed lines are the primary waves with the surface waves showing in the video at https://youtu.be/c2gmBgBRjkE. According to US Geological Survey, this earthquake was an 8.1 off the coast of New Zealand.
