Please join the high school as we host a public school board candidate forum. The student body has been developing questions that they would like to pose to potential school board members this Friday from 12:30-2:00 pm. Any member of the public may attend to listen. This is a student led initiative as they have worked for the past two weeks to think about what is important to them. They will ask a series of questions that they have work with in their houses.

There are lots of changes coming with the FAFSA this year. If your student is college bound please consider attending one of the three Financial Aid Nights that we will host this year. Each of the county schools will be holding a FAFSA night, so there will be three different dates for you to choose from. I highly encourage you to attend this year because of the many changes coming! Attached is a flyer from Highland Community College with a checklist that they use. This could be helpful if you are wondering about next steps to take.
Before attending the FAFSA night I would encourage both students and parents (if you don't already have one) to create a FSA ID. This usually takes a few days to process, so it is a step that can be completed now. Keep your login info in a safe place. The FAFSA will not open up this year until the end of December. Please visit this site to create your studentaid.gov accounts: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
Please don't hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Alley if you have any questions.

The Turning the Tables: Change is Student Led event that will be presented this Wednesday afternoon to our student by John Calvert has a component that will be presented to parents and community via a zoom conference. All are welcome to attend. The link will go live at 6:00 pm and the meeting is set to start at 6:30
