Jackson Heights welcomes back the Class of 1971.



Two MS 4x100 relay records were broken last night! The girls team of Bosley, Cattrell, Mulroy and Buck ran a time of 56.88 beating the 2018 record of 57.11. The boys team of Eisenbarth, Karns, Smith and Wahquahboshkuk ran a time of 50.22 beating the 1999 record of 50.64.


Paige Deneault is the 2021 JHHS Governor's Scholar! This is the 39th year the top 1% of Kansas seniors have been honored through the Governor's Scholars program. Congratulations to Paige on joining an elite group of outstanding senior graduates!


National Principal Day is May 1. Happy Principal Day to Mr. Appuhn and Mr. Shupe tomorrow!

2nd grade is doing a multicultural unit in reading and social studies. Recently they experimented with chopsticks and Lo Mein thanks to a donation from New China in Holton.

Today’s HS track meet at Rossville has been postponed. The meet is now scheduled for Monday, April 26th.

April 21 is Administrative Professional Day and a chance to recognize the hard working ladies in USD 335 offices. Thank you for all you do, Nancy Sipes, JHES Secretary; Rachel Thomas, HS/MS Secretary; Brandi Fritz, Assistant Board Clerk and Sheri Dibbern, Board Clerk.


We had so much fun with the JHHS 50th anniversary celebration and the Class of 1970 last year that we want to continue the Cobra fun this year! Past and present Cobras are invited to an assembly honoring the Class of 1971 at 2:45 PM on Friday, April 30 in the JHHS gym.



The HS track meet for today has been cancelled.

JHES kindergarten and 1st grade classes started their alphabet review count down until the end of school this week. B is for bubbles and C is for chalk.



Mrs. Altenburg's third grade students had an egg-citing week. They got to enjoy watching and holding chicks that hatched this week provided by the K-State Research and Extension Office in Holton. Students in pictures are Ashlynn Corn and Corbin Latham.
